Description
Leaving your busy world behind to immerse in beauty of autumn leaves and berries. Experiment with mark making and create your own bespoke piece of art. For complete beginners, or those needing confidence in painting with watercolour, no painting experience is necessary. Here is a general outline of the day, however there will be some flexibility depending on what the group would like to do and how long to spend on each activity.
9.30am – Arrival refreshments
10.00am – 12.30pm
The day starts with refreshments. Followed by a short meditation, and experiment with painting. With an introduction to simple painting techniques such as negative painting and using additional products for texture effects. With amazing views across the autumn lake, you will find lots of inspiration for colours. Create a simple practice piece of art to relax into colour. We will then prepare for our main watercolour piece, with autumn leaves and berries.
12.30pm Buffet lunch including freshly baked cakes all prepared that morning by S.D.R.Catering
1.30pm Building on from the morning sketch books we will create our watercolour piece inspired by our surroundings. All materials
that you need for the day will be provided but please bring apron and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on them.
4.00pm Train ride depending on weather / or continue painting.
4.30pm Finish

VENUE
The retreat takes place upstairs at the activity centre at Rudyard Lake. However, there is a also a lift should you require it.
