What to Expect on the retreat:
Join us for a relaxing one-day watercolour retreat. The day is designed for all artistic abilities. Throughout the day, you’ll learn watercolour painting fundamentals and have time to experiment with techniques.
Morning Session
We’ll start with an introduction to watercolour basics. Learn some colours mixing, wet in wet and experiment with different textures. The focus will be on creating small, detailed pieces, allowing you to build confidence. As a result, the retreat is designed for all artistic abilities, allowing you to grow your skills at your own pace.
Lunch Break
Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. We offer freshly prepared cakes, sandwiches, and more from the local tearoom. We cater to all dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and meat-based options.
Afternoon Session
In the afternoon, we’ll focus on creating a larger painting inspired by Rudyard Lake. Paint scenes from the tranquil lake, peaceful forest walks, or boats. You’ll receive guidance to help you create your unique piece, using various watercolour techniques.
There will be plenty of guidance and support throughout the day, allowing you to work at your own pace and with confidence.
