Lion Watercolour Print

This lion watercolour print features “Christian the Lion” and has been very carefully gallery reproduced from my original painting. Printed on archival heritage watercolour paper.

I have loved creating this painting. inspiration behind creating this beautiful lion watercolour image came about because of this trip. I had successfully been selected to go to Hangzhou Creative Expo 2019. This was a fully funded trip through Nottingham Town Council. I created a range of original paintings that I felt could be suitable for both a U.K. audience and a Chinese audience.

I decided to name the painting "Christian" because of the story of the lion that was for sale in Harrods and roamed the streets of London. You can find out more about that story here

Giclée is an extremely high-quality print often favoured by collectors, galleries and museums.  Furthermore, a large number of inks are required for the printing process. This will allow for the image to be as close to the original as possible and fade-resistant, lasting a lifetime. However, for best results, it is always favourable not to place in direct sunlight as this will cause it to fade.
